From the 6th to the 10th of September, Ruchun had the pleasure of attending the 35th International Symposium on Chromatography (ISC 2026) in Prague, Czech Republic.
“I was happy to contribute with an oral presentation titled “Data-Driven Selection of Stationary Phases for MS²-Similar Environmental Isomers.” In this work, we developed a workflow combining machine learning predicted Hydrophobic Subtraction Model parameters with stationary phase database to make column selection for highly similar isomers more systematic.
Beyond presenting my own work, it was a great opportunity to hear about recent developments in separation science and to meet researchers working on different topics. I was especially inspired by the enthusiasm people brought to their research and to advancing the field. Listening to their talks and discussing my own project with other researchers gave me new perspectives and renewed energy.
It was also my first time visiting Prague, and I absolutely loved the city. It made an already memorable conference even more enjoyable, and I very much hope to return in the future!”
