The 23rd biennial International Conference EcoBalt 2023 was held in Tallinn this year. The conference drew together researchers from various fields of chemistry, from toxicologists to materials scientists, focusing on chemicals and the environment. The topics covered methods for detecting and understanding contamination as well as potential solutions to deal with the pollution. As a person who is heavily focused on the former, it was interesting to find out the great potential held by nanomaterials to deal with pollution, be it air purification or wastewater treatment.
I was happy to be part of the conference and see the state-of-the-art research in pollution detection and management. I am especially thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the conference by presenting the recent advances in smart data acquisition and chemical prioritization with MS2Tox and MS2Quant. I would also like to thank the organizers. Until next time!
